Baseball; America's Pastime For over two century’s baseball has been an impactful sport to many people in America. Starting off, baseball began as a bunch of baseball clubs until the 1900's when it became two separate organizations the NL (National League), and AL (American League). Following up in 1903 became the unification of these organizations into the MLB (Major League Baseball). Since this time they made many rules to form more organized baseball games by introducing the infield fly rule, and stating that fouls will count as the first two strikes. Baseball also began to form more racially by adding African American leaguesalong with interracial leagues. In conclusion, all these improvements were to help set up a great game that would be enjoyed for many years to come.
